Born 1954 in San Jose, California.  Susan was always interested in art, usually top rated in all Art Classes.  She started winning contests at the young age of 14. Winning the Bank of America Award for a 3 dimensional piece that she did. Her mother supporter her with providing funds for Art Instruction from well known Artists, Sam Weeks, Edgardo and Walfrido Garcia, and others.  She apprenticed for Ed Garcia in Hawaii for 5 years and studied under him for many years.  She studied Art at the highly recognized Brooks College of Long Beach, Ca earning her Bachelors Degree in Art.

While is Hawaii, California, and Florida, she was seen in Ben Franklins and Michaels Art Store teaching adults to paint. If she saw a love of art in someone she would give private lessons at her home.

Her Career as an Artist started at the age of 17 and her first Art Show was in San Francisco, Ca. with her mother, that also found an interest in Art.  They both showed that art at many outdoor shows and won numerous awards.

Susan currently is located in Florida where she spends her time painting in her studio and demonstrating at local Art Clubs.  Her love of art prompted her to support other Artists by opening the Wolding Fine Art Gallery in 2003.

Susan is known for her paintings of above and below water scenes with sea creatures that have personalities.  She also enjoy Plein Aire painting on location of famous spots and old buildings.  She finds all animals fasinating and if they pose for her, she’ll paint them.
